The Federal Division of Hughes was established in 1955. It takes its name from former Prime Minister, Billy Hughes, who led Australia from 1915 to 1923. Hughes brings together diverse and growing communities across southern Sydney. It is an area of Sydney defined by its friendly families, strong community spirit, active local volunteers, and the natural beauty of both bushland and coastline.
